The countdown is on for our biggest event of the season! On September 11th and 12th, Whiskey Throttle Race Nights returns to the Golden Spike Event Center for two full days of racing, entertainment, and family fun. Whether you're behind the wheel, helping in the pits, or cheering from the grandstands, this weekend is shaping up to be one you won't want to miss.

We're kicking things off on Friday with tech inspection, test and tune, and first rounds of qualifying for our SXS and Trophy Truck classes. The extra day gives racers valuable time to get comfortable with the track, dial in their machines, and start battling for position before Saturday's main events. Friday will also feature something completely new to Whiskey Throttle Race Nights, Pit Bike Racing! We'll be organizing several fun pit bike races throughout the evening, giving riders a chance to compete and spectators something new to enjoy. Once the pit bike action wraps up, we'll close out Friday night with the always exciting Drag Races.

On Saturday, we'll finish qualifying and crown champions for the SxS classes and Trophy Trucks, and our always crowd-favorite Mini Vans take the track. This event also brings our largest payouts for the year. Every SxS class will race for double the normal payout, while our Pro Class payout has been tripled, making the competition even more intense as racers battle for both trophies and cash prizes.

To help improve safety and organization, we've made a few important updates to the pit area. Each racer is allowed two pit crew members, but pit crew members are required to purchase general admission tickets to enter through the gates. In addition, the back pit entrance will now be staffed throughout the event, and every racer must list their pit crew during registration so they can be admitted through the pit gates. These changes allow us to better secure the pit area and keep everyone safe while maintaining a smooth flow throughout the weekend.

As always, the racing is only part of the experience. We'll have great food vendors, local businesses, giveaway prizes, and if history tells us anything, there's a good chance someone will end up in a dance-off or an impromptu foot race during intermission. Be sure to check the event schedule on our website, but remember that all race times are estimated and may shift throughout the day as we work to keep the program running smoothly.

We're also excited to welcome back Little Gift From Above on Saturday for their annual raffle. Their nonprofit organization provides Christmas gift baskets to families with babies staying in the Primary Children's NICU during the holiday season. Every general admission ticket purchased for Saturday includes one raffle ticket, giving those attendees a chance to win while supporting an incredible cause. In addition, a portion of every general admission ticket sold will be donated to Little Gift From Above, helping them continue their mission of bringing comfort and joy to NICU families during the holidays. Additional raffle tickets will also be available for purchase throughout the day, with the drawing taking place Saturday night to close out the event. We're honored to partner with an organization making such a meaningful impact in our community.
